It’s a group no-one ever asked to join. But once you’re here, you’ll never be alone.
How we can help you
The Royal Navy Royal Marines Widows’ Association supports those who have lost a recognised partner who is serving or has served in the Royal Navy or Royal Marines. All who have experienced loss are welcome to join us, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the death.
Some of our Members have shared:
“My husband died while we were both serving in the Royal Navy. After four years of terminal illness, he died of cancer at the age of 31. The Royal Navy Royal Marines Widows Association (RNRMWA) gave me something I didn’t know I needed—connection. It linked me to others who were also trying to work out whether we would ever smile again. Together, we faced gut-wrenching grief and began to navigate a new chapter…often wine and cake helped too!”

“Having a group of like minded people to meet up with has been such a healer. I can
be myself around them and we can share our tragedies together without prejudice.
I’ve been privileged to meet some wonderful ladies at the remembrance weekends
and am truly grateful for the association and how it connected me at a time when I
had no one to connect with”.****
“The friendships I made on that first weekend are still on-going and the RNRMWA has become a special part of my life.”

“The Association has meant so much to me & I am so happy to serve through hosting the regular Zoom calls. I have met & formed strong relationships with some great ladies. I love the camaraderie & the bond we all share. And it gives me the satisfaction of honouring my husband & serving the institution which meant so much to him. I am so honoured to be part of the RN family!”
